Getting Involved
Q. At what age can my baby participate in research at the Babylab?
Our lab typically conducts research with babies and young children up to 6 years of age, depending on the study. Sometimes, we work with older children - get in touch if you are interested and we can discuss our ongoing studies!
The Visit
Q. How long will a visit to the Babylab be?
Lab visit timing can depend on the nature of the study. We want you and your baby to enjoy their time at the Babylab, so we take the time to help both of you settle in the lab, ask questions, and take breaks as needed! Typically, a visit to the Babylab will take no longer than one hour.
Q. What if my child becomes upset or tired during a visit to the Babylab?
No problem! We are incredibly flexible at the Babylab and understand that your baby may be teething, tired, hungry, or unwell on the day of your visit. It is normal for your baby not to finish the session! You can control the session - we will take breaks, snacks, or reschedule if necessary.
Q. Can I be with my child during the Babylab visit?
Absolutely! You will be with your child at all times. In some of our younger studies, your baby can sit on your lap and in our older studies, you can be in the room with your child while we administer the study.
